The BelugaFarm & Zinaida Yusova collection – a service that tells the story of the infinitely beautiful and at the same time fragile nature of the Astrakhan region.
For over 25 years, we have chosen the path of careful and ethical production, following our mission to preserve sturgeon species in the wild, striving for a deep understanding of natural processes, and creating our products – black caviar and sturgeon delicacies – with sincere love and responsibility.
"I have long thought about how to achieve perfection not only in taste but also in presentation, in the art of serving. I want these special feelings to accompany every step of the experience with the product. That's how the idea of serving caviar in porcelain dishes, the idea behind our project, was born," says Maria Smutnaya, co-founder of BelugaFarm.
Once the idea was born, our landmark meeting took place with the artist Zinaida Yusova, a researcher, experimenter, and author of extraordinary artistic solutions whose works have gained love and recognition worldwide. We were united by our passion for the Astrakhan region. The joint project appeared and developed very quickly: it was a dream that inspired and amazed each of us.
The producer of the service became the Imperial Porcelain Factory, which has been creating true works of art from porcelain for almost 300 years and holds a special historical status. The factory's masters, together with the invited artist Zinaida Yusova, created the most picturesque depiction of the nature of the Volga Delta.
"I wanted my drawing to tell the story of these amazing, majestic fish, emphasizing their significance and ancient origins, their slowness and grace. From the very first moments, this project felt very warm and very close to my heart. Astrakhan, to me, is an industrial region that preserves traditional crafts with care for nature," shares artist Zinaida Yusova.
Every detail of this project is unique: the service was created using the signature forms of the Imperial Porcelain Factory’s masters and the finest Russian bone china. The main decoration was, of course, the drawing by Zinaida Yusova, in the smoky-blue color "Winter of Astrakhan," created by her.
In this wonderful creative project, we were able to fulfill our dream: to capture the majestic, unexplored beauty of the nature of our beloved region.
